THE DEAD MOCKINGBIRD IS EVERYWHERE.
IN 1960, People read To Kill a Mockingbird and felt anguish.
Now most people are heart-numbed.
Read about 11-year-old Ebba from Sweden.

The time: December 1960. To Kill a Mockingbird has just been published. Many white people are outraged by the rampant discrimination against Negroes, by the story of an innocent black man who will be lynched despite the valiant efforts of a good white lawyer. This story galvanizes the sympathy of whites.

A HEADLINE STORY FROM 1960:

Hooded White-Robed Man Vandalizes Grave of 11-Year-Old Negro Girl Brutally Slain by KKK 

ALABAMA: Hooded white-robed man vandalizes grave of 11-year-old Alabama Negro girl brutally slain by KKK member. Police do nothing!

11-year-old Jessy Black was brutally run down by a hooded KKK member in Huntsville, Alabama on November 7, 1958. Now another hooded KKK member has vandalized Jessy’s grave on more than 30 occasions . . . and he gets off scot free each time. Jessy was deliberately being run over. A hooded KKK member drove into a Negro neighborhood, weaving left and right, killing five and seriously injuring fourteen. The driver zigzagged as he drove, deliberately attempting to hit children. Among the 5 dead was an 11-year-old Negro girl named Jessy Black who was walking home from school. 

Over the past year, there have been over 30 incidents of vandalism of Jessy's grave. The vandal has been identified as KKK member Arnold King. One time the vandal was caught in the act of vandalizing by Stevie Black, Jessy's father, who called the police. The police came and thanked Jessy's father. Then, after an hour's interrogation, they released Arnold King. He has never been charged with anything. 

When contacted by this reporter, Jessy's father questioned the way the police and others in power were handling the vandal. Why isn't the man arrested and detained?

HERE IS THE ACTUAL STORY:

SWEDEN: Illegal alien Muslim migrant vandalizes grave of 11-year-old Stockholm girl brutally slain in a Islamic truck jihad. Police do nothing.

11-year-old Ebba Åkerlund was brutally murdered by the Muslim illegal migrant Rakhmat Akilov in a terror attack on Drottninggatan in Stockholm in April 2017. Now another Muslim illegal migrant has vandalized Ebba’s tomb on more than 30 occasions. . . .and gets off scot free. 

In April 2017 an Uzbek migrant named Rakhmat Akilov drove a hijacked truck into a crowd of pedestrians on Queen Street in central Stockholm, killing five and seriously injuring fourteen others in a terrorist attack. He zigzagged as he drove, deliberately attempting to hit children. He murdered four white adults and an 11-year-old girl named Ebba Åkerlund who was walking home from school.

Since then, Ebba’s tomb has been repeatedly vandalized. On several of these occasions, the Muslim vandal has been arrested by the police, but then released after an hour's interrogation instead of being expelled from the country, though there is an expulsion order. 

Ebba’s father, Stefan, has personally caught the man in the act of vandalizing Ebba's tomb. All he got from the police was a "good job", and then the man was released again.

In a Facebook post, Ebba's father questions the way the man has been handled by the police and others in power. Why is the expulsion not enforced, why isn't the man arrested and detained? Why is he not sentenced to imprisonment for one year as stated in the judgment if he violates the expulsion decision?

Another question comes to mind: why are Swedes not protesting en masse, horrified at behavior of the vandal and even more, at the gross negligence of the police. And why is the world not responding to the outrage? 

One part of the answer is disheartening. We have been heart-numbed and brain-numbed not to respond. In 1960 people felt anguish at the lynching of an innocent black man. Now most people seem to feel very little about Islamic violence against non-Islamics.

It's not just one innocent mockingbird that has been killed. Millions upon millions of people seem deeply unfeeling about Islamic violence against non-Islamics. Otherwise we would be galvanized to act to stop this - rallies, political activism.

Here's another part of the answer as to why so few people respond with outrage and anguish at acts of Islamic violence against non-Islamics. People need to connect worldwide to support each other, to help each other respond fully, to once again become fully alive.

I came to know about Dr. Elsa Schieder ("Elsa") through her interviews with Islam experts Robert Spencer, Bill Warner, Citizen Warrior,  and others. Many people were introduced  to Elsa through her highly informative video for children, about Islam. Through her work, Elsa has helped clear the confusion surrounding Islam, making it possible for people to learn the truth about Islam.
         Islam is just one area; Elsa has sought the truth in many areas, and has a unique talent to clarify issues and motivate people.
          I am especially indebted to Elsa for making me aware of the Islamic Doctrine of  Al-Wala Wal-Bara, which I now know to be the key for understanding Islam. Even after studying several books on Islam, I was not aware of the Islamic doctrine of Al-Wala Wal-Bara. This key doctrine is at the heart of Islam, and makes the other Islamic doctrines of Islam, like Jihad and Sharia, easily comprehensible.

When I came upon Elsa's work (like her great kid's video), I had educated myself on what Islam is, had been galvanised to protest by the horrific slaughter of children in the Manchester bombing, and was also trying to get the truth out on a lot of Facebook sites. But I felt isolated, downcast and daunted by the mountainous size of the problem. I have always been utterly anti-racist, but my friends thought I had become a bigot. I didn't know what to do. 
         Elsa's amazing, inspirational work has become a beacon of light to me, and her friendship has furnished me with the encouragement and support (and occasional rap over the knuckles!) which I desperately needed to become tougher, more confident, and much more active. Moreover, she has introduced me to new friends in the movement (against Sharia, and in support of British sovereignty - connected issues), from whom I am constantly learning, and with whom I can work, and protest, much more effectively.
